Dear Jeremy,

You're 13 and I'm sure you're probably wondering "who is this, and how the fuck does this perv know how old I am?" Well, its your future self. I know what you're going through and let me tell you, IT'S GONNA BE OKAY! You don't speak much, mainly because you're shy, but also because I think you have too much to say that people just won't understand, but I have some great news. They don't need to! as long as eventually you do. Yes, you are weird, accept it, embrace it NOW because you will feel bad for not doing so. You are beginning to lose your innocence now and cursing like a $2 house whore, so for those that feel a certain a way about how you talk, act, dress, or even the music you listen to feel free to bless them with a sarcastic FUCK YOU! Be proud of yourself at all times, because even though at some points you'll want to break, you will do well, you really will. There'll be a few years where it'll get to you, and I can't deny you the truth about that. It will hurt, and you'll do some stupid things, but you'll smile again I promise you. Just keep looking forward, don't let people hold you back no matter how hard they try to break you.

I know it's too late to warn you because you've already started a relationship with someone you think is your world and I'm pretty sure you two have already had sex, I know everything seems so right when y'all are together but end it NOW, you will have serious problems in the near future around your first year of high school it's a whirlwind of jealousy but you being the hard headed little shit you are, you're not going to listen & choose to see for yourself. It will make you a very dark and evil person, learn the lessons from this "love", but also learn to accept real love, it's important.

I know you have your heart set on going to Howard University...bad news...YOU'RE NOT GOING! (MOM WON!) but that's fine you'll make a home at Jackson State University and you'll have some amazing friends! and one that's very fake, but please don't change your major stick with your first choice of Advertising no matter how mad the department will make you (and they will). Know that your family is awesome, especially Mom you two are like bestfriends and that bond is going to grow even tighter. I know you and your brother are ALWAYS at war but he's just trying to make you stronger for the real world, your relationship will get closer when you leave for school. Spend more time with your grandpa, memorize his laughter, his strong yet gentle touch, and the way he looks at you like a dear child. His fatherly love will be a great fountain of warmth you’ll always go back to when times become hard and wearisome.

Most importantly you have an amazing, artistic soul in you, explore it and express it very well. When things get tough, pick up a pen and just let go. I promise, it works!

Happy Birthday 3rdBrane, today my blog turns 1....I've been blogging [off and on] for one year...and people ask why do I still do it if I don't get a lot of traffic, well I do it because it eases my mind! I have a few faithful readers they just choose not to comment. First of all, Beyonce is NOT the first person to record “Ave Maria” the song was written in the 1800’s don’t know the exact date but we used to sing it in choir, and I’m really tired of people saying “we aint need to see Beyonce on stage in her wedding dress” [UGH, YOU STUPID FUCK] .

Lets break it down, Ave Maria is Latin for Hail Mary it is a Christian prayer used within Roman Catholicism, We Hail Mary [PRAISE MARY] because she played a vital part in the redemption of the world, without Mary's free acceptance of her calling from God we would not have Jesus in human flesh, it’s not a prayer of worship to Mary, but it is a recital of scripture and then an asking of her to pray for us to God.

Beyonce performed a theatrical version of the song personifying Mary with wearing all white and the white veil but adding a modern and fashionable twist to it thanks to Thierry Mugler. So, kiddies that’s where the concept came from….NOT her “showing off her wedding dress.” In closing, if you choose to read someone publicly do ya RESEARCH and internalize before you verbalize just how ignorant and small minded you REALLY are.

Money Talks, Love Walks

We've all heard it before, the lonely millionaire man who has everything except that one thing that would make all the other things worthwhile-- a companion! That's suppose to be the purpose of "The Millionaire Matchmaker". Basically the show parades 15 or so girls in front of two Millionaire men in a mixer type of setting and they let the men talk to the women to see which two they will connect, they tell their two to Patti and she sets up the dates from there where she gives her "rules of the night" they aren't allowed to have sex, no discussions of religion, politics and money (which she's already told the women the mens worth) .

Patti [the host] looks through pictures of female prospects, & openly disrespects these women making fun of them & saying how some girls aren't attractive enough for her service but, she looks like an Italian man in bad drag and she's not even married!

This show bothers me because she advertises and tries to sell the mens networth instead of other qualities and who they are as a person. You can't base true love on a dollar amount especially in situations such as this [reality tv] for one, its hard getting out there to date and then to mix a camera in with it you start to question if she's really with you for you are or for what's in your bank account and 15 minutes of fame.

So, This year is coming to a close and the reason I'm writing this post is because I'm tired of my uhm....... plus size brothers & sisters (I was trying to find a word to use besides fat so I wouldn't be anatomically offensive and hurt feelings) trying to dress with the latest trends....knowing DAMN WELL that the outfit they have on doesn't go with their body types, now mind you, I'm a big dude too....so I'm not trying to ostracize the Chubby Community... but, I do know what looks good on me and what I can & can't wear....you will NOT catch me in J Crew buying t-shirts that looks like I went searching through my Jr. High wardrobe...with that being said.

My fellow hefties, can you please do me a favor and find your own style especially for those females who have extra meat like around their thigh, knee, and calf region PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!! stay away from that whole tights and skinny jeans phase please, because it seriously looks like two big christmas hams stuffed in a grocery bag. b.t.w. don't do the whole belted shirt thing if your stomach is big because it looks like your stomach is eating your belt also invest in a girdle there's no harm or foul in wearing one...and a pair of spanx they both tuck and lift and gives you a nicer silhouette and gives the illusion you have curves.

Big dudes, don't think I forgot about yall because I didn't!! you need to find a medium between wearing clothes that are too tight and clothes that are waaaay to big it makes you look extremely slouchy....if you have man boobs and you KNOW they stick out why put on just a wife beater? Serioulsy, throw a t-shirt on over it. PLEASE stay away from leather blazers and please stay clear of tucking your t-shirts and shirts in alll the way especially if your a "dunlap" which means your belly "done lapped" your jeans.....boot cut jeans? GROSS and can we stay away from flipped collars for those big dudes who have no neck because you look like a turtle in it's shell.....

So, like, uhm, yea…..idk wassup with my friends thinking I’m their sex therapist….I’m neither Dr. Drew nor Dr. Sue so when I give you advice I give it from what I’ve read, what I’ve saw and what I’ve done…so don’t blame me if I tell you to try something and your partner don’t like it….I mean if she don’t like face shots and he don’t like you to play in his ass right before he ejaculates sounds like a problem the 2 of you should discuss together!.....I mean don’t come at me after it’s done & tell me she’s mad at you because some of your kids got in her eye by mistake….like I said that’s between you 2!

Communication is key in a relationship in every aspect ESPECIALLY when it comes to both of yall getting yall rocks off, so if yall don’t talk about what you both like and don’t like during intercourse then 9 times out of 10 you’re setting yourself up for ~~bad~~..HORRIBLE sex…and I know you’re thinking that “if I say what I want then sex is gonna seem planned or rehearsed” BUT, it doesn’t have to be that way, you can explain what you want before sex, it doesn’t make you a freak and its definitely not taboo to talk sex before you actually have it, honestly I think it should be a requirement…you can’t be a prude when it comes to having a mind blowing sexperience. Sex should be a sporadic concept, mix it up…don’t do the same thing over and over if you start with 4 play then oral then straight to the nitty gritty ALL THE TIME it get’s a bit predictable start with something different hell start from the end to the beginning see how that one works

Me personally, I’m no novice....no sexpert either…I like to play pretend so I have a few characters in my head that come out on occasions…..(no I’m NOT schizo).

Do you know what it feels like to feel as though everyone around you is living life in motion and you're standing completely still? Well, that kinda sums up what's been going on with me.......let's see, I have a very small circle of friends which has been dwindling down these past couple of months but it's like when I'm around them I always feel out of place, it's like I'm in there company but I feel alone (idk if you understand but w/e, continuing...) like I don't belong. I'm usually at school and work and I don't really converse with people there either and from school I'm home so most of my days are spent at home all day on the computer or watching tv bored out of my mind while everybody else is out there enjoying life........

I am soooooo happy today, I'm living in something that I thought I could've only read in History book.....I woke up very early @ 5:00 this morning to get ready to stand in line @ the poll, I made it there at about 6:00 and went and joined the other 2 people who were standing in front of me...and as time went on a few more started pulling in and saying good morning and laughing and telling jokes..and this is my first time in a long time seeing my people woke this early in the morning and HAPPY about it....which made me feel even better!

But with happiness comes the devil, now at my polling place ever since I've voted there for the past 4 years I've always voted from the back door of the school...even if I came in the front door, they would ask me to walk across the hall & go wait in line by the back door so I can give my name & all the other stuff now everybody else seemed to have known the rules too because they were in line @ the back doors..

Polls opened at 7:00 pm sharp after the poll workers said their prayers (which i was happy and surprised to see) and they let us in the backdoor in and went opened the front door & told them they have to walk outside through the backdoor to wait in line which at that time were only 15-20 people maximum so it shouldn't have been a problem.

but NOOOOOOOOOO little miss fugee wanted to turn into Angela Davis and start a 4 woman revolution with the other 3 women who were behind her in line telling the poll manager (who was an older lady) that "I can't believe this shit, (mind you we vote in an elementary school) I've never had a problem like this, we always come through that door to vote" so the poll manager still trying to remain civil told her "sweetie, please don't do this, this is a historical moment for us, please don't mess it up" which little miss fugee and her mignons replied "The damn moment messed up when you told me to go wait in another line to vote"

That really really really upset me because for 1 it's a small polling precinct and it has never had a high volume of voters at one time so that was a surprise to the poll workers as well, but little miss fugee and her hyenas seemed like they were outside plotting what they would say if somebody said the wrong thing to them this morning.

I VOTED TODAY!!!!!!!!!!

BUT WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID...I VOTED BRIGHT AND EARLY THIS MORNING, THE THIRD PERSON IN LINE AND TO CAST MY VOTE AND I FELT A SENSE OF RELIEF that's why I decided to post this video of a song I think is fitting for today and I think it's something we're all hoping for, A Better Tomorrow.....

I honestly see why Coffee House's on black campuses don't usually last.....My school has this coffee house called "Java & News" now correct me if i'm wrong but any normal coffee house would be open at say 6 am when people really want/need coffee??.....NOT AT A HBCU.....I came on campus this morning running to the coffee house because the starbucks up the street from my house was super packed!!.. I walked into the building just KNOWING I'm about to get me a cup of green tea with honey & a splash of lemon...(EHHHHHH) WRONG! they don't open 'til 10:00 WTF?!?!?!?I'm not gonna want any caffeine at 10:00 I'll be woke by then, but only @ an HBCU will a coffee house run on CP time and I'm really upset because i REALLY wanted that green tea...but ah well...I guess i'll just stop by the campus store & pick up a red bull..

So, for the past couple of days I've been sitting back thinking about some stuff....I lost one friend over some he say she say....but I SAY that if it was lost over something so trivial then it really wasn't a friendship 2 begin with.... but moving on.....

I haven't been in touch with one of my gbff's and I know she's gotten a promotion at work & she be busy but since she's not at school anymore it's like we're out of touch...and that makes me wonder if we're just school friends.... but last night I sent her a text message and she was like she's been going through some stuff but she misses me soooooooo I don't know.. but on 2 more exciting news about ME!!

I will be in Dallas, Texas next week from the 23-26th my BFF's birthday was this week and he wants 2 go out of state 2 party....he's the Gail to my Oprah! so of course I said yes, I really don't know NOTHING about Dallas...When I usually go to Texas, I hit Houston soooo hopefully dallas is as fun as Houston....just don't wanna run into none of them folks from the cliff (Oak Cliff)

We are exactly FOUR WEEKS away from electing a president and it's crunch time, if you haven't seen the first presidential debate or the vice presidential debate I'm sure you can youtube it so you can be caught up... Tonight the Presidential Candidates will be doing their 2nd debate out of 3, and this one will be in the style of a town hall meeting where patrons attending the debate can ask questions themselves and hopefully get a straight forward answer that's not sugar-coated.

It's imperative that EVERYONE gets out to vote on November 4th 2008, I don't want to come off on my blog as being biased so I'm just going to say that it's not about who you vote for as long as you exercise your right. ESPECIALLY College students who are depending on Financial Aid/Grants/Loans and so on & so forth, with the financial crunch the economy is in, you really need to watch AND pay attention to the debates so you can decide on which candidate will help in allowing you to further your education. I'M BANKING ON CHANGE!!

This is like the most powerful, political protest song that I've ever heard..and it's one of my favorites. The song is about how in '99 the NYPD police gunned down a 23 year old unarmed Guinea man named Amadou Diallo, after he was mistaken for an unidentified rapist....the four officers were acquitted of all charges. Badu wrote the elegy for Diallo (hence his initials in the song) and this is a video of her performing it live.. & if you haven't gotten a chance to see her perform live you are really missing a show.

OH EM GEE!!!! I'm like super stoked that fall television is FINALLY back! It gives me something to entertain myself other than my thoughts, & believe you me they're mine and very entertaining they are WIERD!!! but enough with that...back to the TV Line-up of my fav-rite shows.... and I'm kinda upset because I have a late night class on Mondays so, I Can't watch The Big Bang Theory & How I Met Your Mother but I'm also glad that they've moved "The Game" on the CW to Fridays (October 3rd) Which is kinda strange because they moved the whole monday night line up to friday nights which is gonna lose A LOT of viewers and I'm sure they aren't going to do Encore shows on Sundays like they do with the other shows.....but what I'm watching this fall?!?!? check it out.

Premiering (Tomorrow) Thursday, Sep 25th....UGLY BETTY we will all find out what her decision is... will she marry Henry or travel the world with Gio?

So, I was riding around today and decided to go out on the reservoir because it was such a nice day out and I went to take some random pics for this photo assignment for class and sooooooooo I'm riding and I hear something coming up behind me with some bass....I look to my right and guess what I see yall........................ this big dummy pulls up next to me in a (GET THIS) TOYOTA YARIS!!!!! and he's leaned back in the seat smoking a blunt trying to mean mug...

Now, I'm so far from being a "thug" but, from what I've been around, I KNOW you can NOT be hard and thugging in a TOYOTA YARIS!!!!! I mean, I know the gas prices got people in a financial crunch and they're trading their big cars in for smaller ones....but dude, seriously though? a yaris? you couldn't just get you an old Nissan Altima that got good gas mileage or something?

Someone seriously needs to pull his "thug" card because not only was he 1.) had bass in the Yaris. but, 2.) He was loked out (leaned back in the seat) in the car...in a Yaris all he had to do was take the driver seat out and just on the back seat and still be able to touch the gas and break pedals....and 3.) smoking a blunt......

Not 2 minutes after posting this previous post I find out dude JUST got arrested today in LA for going after a TMZ reporter (damn they be everywhere, they be on it!) the way it went down...

West was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport and booked on charges of felony vandalism. West and his road manager were taken into custody after West allegedly rushed at a TMZ photographer and grabbed his camera. A struggle followed and West took the camera and threw it to the ground. West's manager then ripped off the mic and viewfinder and smashed it to the ground. The incident took place about 7:50 a.m. outside the passenger security screening area in Terminal 4. According to reports, the camera valued at more than $10,000. According to TMZ.com, the attack was caught on tape and was posted on their website shortly after.

"Erik (TMZ cameraman) says he was at Terminal 4 (American Airlines) when he noticed a still photog taking several pictures of Kanye West. Erik says West rushed the photog and grabbed his camera. A struggle ensued and the still guy was screaming, "Police, help!" Erik says Kanye then took the still camera and threw it on the ground, breaking it into pieces.

Erik then went over to Kanye, his camera rolling, when Kanye's bodyguard walked up to him, realized Erik was taping, and said, "Give me the camera, give me the camera." Erik responded that he had a press pass and had a right to shoot. The assistant then grabbed the camera, ripped off the mic and viewfinder and smashed it to the ground.

Erik says Kanye then tried to leave to board his plane, but cops stopped him before he got to security. The cops then interviewed Erik, the still photog, Kanye and his assistant..

FORRE ST CITY, AR – Police say a Forrest City, Arkansas man has been charged with raping his 8 day- old baby.

According to a police report, officers were called to the Forrest City Medical Center, September 1, 2008, about a baby that had been sexually assaulted. Forrest City police say the baby also had a skull fracture and had to be transferred to the Arkansas Children’s Hospi tal in Littl e Rock because of the severity of the injuries.

Investigators say the father attacked the infant during a visit at her 15 year-old mother' s house . Police say other people were at the home at the time of the assault.

Police say Davis had no criminal record since turning 18, but could not say whether Davis had a juvy wrap-sheet . The information could not be released under Arkansas state law, said investigators.

Police say the infant’s father, 18 year- old Reginald Davis , has been charged with Rape and Second- Degree Battery. The case is still under investigation and it is unknown if any other arrests will be made, said Forrest City Police.

****Why am I in school today? knowing damn well that some or all of the 18 tornadoes could hit this state... everyone else is out of school but nooooooooo we here, stuck, looking stupid! like last semester it was 4 tornados hit the city (we were in class) the alarm went off and everything..... why they tried to keep us in class and told us that that was the alarm for the town over...like WTF?!?! all you have to do is go right up the street and you're in the next town/city soooooooo shouldn't we be leaving too? *sigh* I tell you 'bout black folks who get a bit of authority under their belts...

Fraudulent Life

So, I was on the phone chatting with an old "friend" the other day and we were discussing our "10 year plan" the conversation just came up out of nowhere, and I don't know if this is just me but personally I've never been the type to plot my life out on paper, it just makes me feel compelled to follow that plan and sometimes you have to venture off course for something better. Well, we had the same 10 year plan and he told me last night that he copied it from me when we had to write a paper on it back in high school (even though I really hated to do it, it was for a grade.)

I was shocked because that's like you're stealing my future and I don't know how I should take that, because I was seriously surprised, like that's what built our "friendship" because we had so much in common and, my plans changed from jump, but not for the better, after high school I was suppose to attend Howard University, got accepted and everything but my mom and dad shot down all of my top 5 choices for Universities because I was "too young, to be so far away from home."

I thought he never got accepted to Howard, because he never mentioned it to me after I said I couldn't go, he was stuck on his second choice, Grambling (which was sooo NOT in my plans, I had to get out of my state!) but after last nights conversation I'm a bit touched/pressed because he's living out my plan, I found out that he actually did get accepted to Howard and he's graduated with the degree I'm seeking, he's done an internship with a great company like, I've been trying to get to DC since I turned 20, but my credits wouldn't transfer and I did NOT wanna start from square one all over again.

But, my question is what to do when someone copies your life's dreams? should I accept it as a form of adulation and move on? or, should I question his moral standards?. Like, is that even ETHICAL?!?!?!

This is Michelle's third solo studio project which she decided to venture off more into the secular field giving us a hoard of contemporary/pop/dance tracks, Michelle describes the album as a "dance-euro-club-pop type of album" which you can hear all through her first single "We Break The Dawn" which is produced by Wayne Wilkins and Andrew Frampton, who co-write the song with Solange, with other production collaborations from Jim Jonsin, Rico Love, The Heavyweights, Soulshock and Karlin, and Stargate.

Although the album does fall into ballad territory, but that's not a bad thing. In fact, "The Greatest," an anthematic slower-paced jam, is one of the best tracks on the album, showcasing Michelle's upper-range vocals and offering romance-ridden lyrics.

The album ends with the inspiring "Too Young for Love," a powerful conclusion that features some electric guitar shredding and big-sounding studio drums. It's a sweet closer for Unexpected, which, to steal inspiration from its name, is an unexpectedly delightful pop confection from a traditionally gospel solo singer. Michelle has proven that she can do pop-&-b as well as, if not better than, her DC sisters, but also turns that style into her own strain of electro-dance. It's a good "debut" from a veteran artist, one that continues to impede expectations by taking chances.

So, like uhm again...I know i'm Solo'n yall out BUT I can't help it...I'm loving the direction she's taking musically... like I seriously can't wait until her album drops next week because I will be @ the mom & pop shop picking it up... this her second video to her official second single Sandcastle Disco I like it, I think it's cute, different and uuber retro which I've noticed a lot of artist are starting to go that route.....I just hope they don't begin to over popularize it though, because the industry can make us soooooooo tired of a certain thing (i.e. Hype Williams with the videos being in widescreen mode)..but @ any rate check out the video.....

Maaaaaaan I LOVE this song, totally unexpected coming from Musiq but the beat is hot..... but it looks like Musiq ain't the "Soulchild" he once was...he has succumb to conformity with that whole Mo-Hawk thing (which btw is PLAYED OUT!) but none the less..the video is hawt, the song is hawt & it has my baby mama in the video Tanisha Scott (oooo she can get it!). but, uhm, yea... my bad, kinda got carried away. at any rate if this is his first single I can't wait to see what his album sounds like because urrr uhmm..... i think the neo-soulers would be sooooo disappointed if its nothing like his other work (but hey, I love to see an artist take risk and make changes).

Wow, it's August already, this year is ALMOST over & I still hadn't done any of my resolutions (that's another reason why I hate making them) but I was reading "Who Moved My Cheese" for like the ump-teenth time, & out of all of my times reading the book, I've always read "The Story Before The Story" then "The Story" but I've never read "The Discussion". I've always taken something from the story after I've read it but I decided to go ahead and read the WHOLE book yesterday, & I took soo much more than I expected to take.

I came to the realization that some of the people in my life are Hem's and though I love them dearly, I think the only thing that's right for me to do is to go on in my life's "maze" and find my own "cheese", I know that sounds like I'm being mean & unfriendly but after trying to be a friend for soooooo long, you kind of get tired of trying to help because it starts to get you caught in their same mind frame, and tho it's not the fear of change that holds me back, it's more of the thought of losing a confidant and learning to trust new people because I'm kind of shy but outspoken on some aspects.

All and all, this book has asserted me to make those changes in my life when I think of them & don't just leave them lingering as thoughts and also try not to be so afraid of what's to come after they've been made because I've learned that I can whether the storm, it's just the calm before it that makes me apprehensive. But I guess it's time I leave some people behind with their silly hang-ups because it's becoming more & more obvious that they are not trying to travel the maze, but stay in comfort waiting for their cheese to come back or nibble off others cheese.......
I've realized my cheese has been taken, now I'm on a journey to get my shyt back so I can make it through that maze happy and satisfied for those who I'm leaving behind I won't forget you, but the writing is on the wall....read it and take heed to it, because it WILL help you out in the long run.

Okay, can people please, please, PLEASE stop using this ridiculous "no homo" tag on everything they post!?!?!?....Cam'ron or Juelz Santana, whoever made it up was gay for starting this lil phrase in the first place & THAT'S HOMO!...I hate hearing this with a passion, because personally I think if you have to say "no homo" as a disclaimer before and after you've said something ambiguously gay then you already knew what you were saying had all kind of homosexual context which 9 times out of 10 you probably really meant & you were just using "no homo" as a front. Erykah Badu is the poster girl for Tom Fords new fragrance "White Patchouli", this story broke back in February (I wasn't blogging then) but they weren't sure about the name of the fragrance, which I just stated earlier that it's called White Patchouli & I see why they chose her as the poster girl for it, because Patchouli (oil) was popular in the 60's & 70's and was mostly used by the free spirits & hippies some also use it to keep their dreads conditioned..others say it's used as an insect repellent....but at any rate, Badu looks great in the picture (i'm a sucker for black & white photos) I thought it was Eva Marcille (Pigford) at first.

Sweet Charity is one of the best musicals ever known to man (IMO) & one of my MANY favorites with choreography by the late great Bob Fosse which was his first movie....if you look close you'll see the lady who played Theresa (the lesbo) in "The Women of Brewster Place". It also stars Shirley MacLaine as Charity Hope Valentine a hooker with a heart of gold whose really just looking to settle down with a good man & live a respectable life. There's also Sammy Davis Jr. in the ''Rhythm of Life'' sequence.

Spotted at the the YBF, Erykah Badu is expecting her third child, this-time-around with producer Jay Electronica (who shared the cover of Urb with her earlier this year). I wonder what she will name this one, either way the baby will join son Seven Sirius (Andre' 3000), and daughter Puma Rose (The D.O.C.).

I love Erykah for the simple fact she keeps it real & she keeps it in the art family with her romances, and you can’t say these children won’t grow up to be some of the most artistic, knowledgeable (on a whole 'nother lever) kids around.

Now yall be the judge this is a video from her concert when I went back in May, May 28th to be exact & she didn't look pregnant here.......

but if she is, hopefully she'll revert back to Baduizm & give us a Live album of the whole New Amerykah 4th World War..that would SERIOUSLY be the dopest EVER!

Okay i've been debating about posting this post but when I was awaken by a laugh & the name "Mr. Clean" I KNEW it was time to speak on it.....Why don't older people know when it's their time to retire?!?!?! I was out today & I decided to get a haircut before I went in for work, I go into the barber shop & I guess everyone else hasn't come in, SO the only person there is the owner & two more people in the back...but they had someone in their chairs so I asked the old man if he could get me in...he slowly gets up & takes his time getting out of the chair, he asked me how I wanted my hair & I told him a tappered & faded all over he says, "okay boss"....we had small talk about what I did for the 4th & how he spent his (while he was putting the robe over me & the lil neck thing) so he proceeds to start cutting.. Mind you now, he's the owner he knows what he's doing soo I wasn't worried about anything UNTIL he gets the side of my head & I see his arm moving kinda funny so I ask if he was alright (now he's old but he talks MAJOR shit) so he tells me "Yea nigga i'm fine!".....

So I'm like okay, I let him continue cutting.... then he grabs the razor (plays psycho theme) to line me up & I'm just sitting there with my eyes closed like "LAWD, PLEASE don't let this man do me like Ceily tried to do Mista"...& he starts to shave & it's like a lil wobble in the arm still & he gets by my ear & it's like hard swoops i'm just like "lawd I KNOW he done cut me!"...soo I get up out the chair, ask him how much I owe him, (I've never paid more than $13-$15 for a cut & shave but I only got a cut this time) & I knew he was finna try & get me because when he call out an outrageous price he NEVER looks @ you or your money He looks up @ the tv & he's like "aw, give me $20" & USUALLY I would argue but I aint feel like messing with the old man so I just gave him the twenty & left, went to work, had my hat on so I never really looked @ my hair...I leave work early (another blog) come home, look in the mirror & I'm like WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Yall....I got patches of hair still on my head, I look like a Dalmatian....& where he lined me at you can see the light pink meat where he went too far back on my line, my head is SKINT! like, my hair hasn't been this low since my mom was telling my barber how to cut my hair when I was getting the bald fades...but this one is BALD all over & I paid $20 for this bull!!! I could've did this to myself for free.

Okay, WTF's up with Amy Winehouse?!?!? like,she lost me as a fan when THIS VIDEO of her singing a racist song popped up on the net, but then she gets it IN for the dude Kanye...there is no real reason as to WHY Amy dissed Kanye during her set @ The Glastonbury Music Festival where she also tweaked out on a fan in the audience, but during her set she called Kanye West a "cunt" after she gave props to dudes boss (Jay-Z) she said she was glad Jay-Z was @ the festival & she doesn't know why they made such a big fuss about it (paraphrased)...then she goes on to say (her words not mine)....“Imagine if it was a cunt like Kanye West”.....and then to add insult to injury she says...."Cunts like Kanye' should be his next album title!”..WoOoOoOoOoOoW folx, What'd he ever do to her??? but ah well, what can ya say, what can ya do?

Badu spoke briefly about her second album when I went to see her in concert this past May stating that it would be out this July, then she went on to say "But I'm not here to sell that album I'm here to promote my new album New Amerykah" & she ripped it from there... Well, I know it's only early July but dang when am I going to hear something on it, a promo poster a myspace bulletin SOMETHING...I'm feenin' for it

Rumor has it that “Return of the Ankh” (the 2nd installment to the "4th World War" compilation) is to be accompanied by a USB stick which Badu says will include extras ranging from footage of concerts, to commentary on the recording process and “me in the bathtub with Flavour Flav” [gotta love her sense of humor(I HOPE!)] - “I wanted to give away my materials…It’s about sharing, and that’s why I like this system”.

Either way tho, I'm super psyched about this new album because "New Amerykah Part 1: 4th World War” is probably one of my favorite albums @ the momentI don’t really understand people who don’t love it, I think it’s not only one of Badu’s best efforts but also one of the most creative albums I’ve heard in a long time. She’s too dope!

OH! & since her weed papers are coming out this July too, I wonder if that's going to be included with the album?!?!

HTC is ready to amaze the inner geeks of the world by launching their new smartphone called the HTC Touch Diamond. The design will attract you as soon as you lay eyes on it. The Diamond has a sleek and glossy look, together with smooth edges to make it a joy to handle.

A large 2.8-inch VGA screen dominates the front panel, while its soft keys and a special scroll wheel/D-pad combo cover the rest of the surface. This D-pad consists of hardware keys which can accommodate 5 functions simultaneously, plus one touch sensitive pad for zooming in with images, HTML documents and messages. The smartphone also includes an obligatory music player.

(Editors Note** this is phone is like A-MAH-ZING, this has the instinct & the iphone beat by soo much more, though I haven't had the chance to fully play with the Diamond hands on I know as of now the iphone has one ups on it because it has the hieroglyphic text messaging but maybe the Diamond has something way better**)

SOLANGE-I TOLD YOU SO (Listen/DL)

Surprisingly I like this song, Solange is really making an effort to step out of the mangled weaved shadows of her big sister Beyonce.. Judging from other tracks that have leaked this album really has something going for itself, I just wish the same could've been said for her debut album "Solo Star" but that's a thing of the past. her new album Sol-Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams is scheduled to be released in August '08, but you know how that goes. Can't wait for this album
